Emergency Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday To Start April 24th To 26th

The Texas Comptrollers Office has announced an “Emergency Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday”.  Given we are getting into bad weather season from April 24-26 a number of items can be bought without sales tax.  See the Comptrollers website for approved and denied items but some of those approved are: Portable generators under $3,000, Batteries, non-electric Coolers and ice chests, Fire extinguishers, First aid kits, candles, flashlights and lanterns, Radios, tarps, Mobile telephone batteries and mobile telephone chargers.
