On March 19 at 10:00 a.m., the City of Granbury will unveil an official plaque at the Hood County Courthouse to honor the Historic District’s 1974 listing on the National Register of Historic Places. This ceremony recognizes decades of preservation that have transformed the historic square into the cultural and economic heart of the community. As a multi-year winner of America’s Best Historic Small Town, Granbury uses this dedication to its heritage to drive tourism and maintain its unique identity as the “Celebration Capital of Texas.”
