COME GET A TASTE OF THE CATTLE DRIVE EXPERIENCE–EVERYONE IS WELCOME
Kick off the 72nd Annual Frontier Days Rodeo & Livestock Show Week with the 1st Annual “Bringin In The Herd” Cattle Trail Drive from Millsap to the PCSP Grounds in Weatherford, TX. For the first time in 59 years of the cattle trail drive YOU can join in the experience. NOPE! ya’ don’t have to ride if’n ya’ don’t wanna. But you are welcome and invited to join us for FREE CAMPFIRE BREAKFAST at Millsap Log Cabins, 208 Fannin Street, Millsap, TX 76066, starting at 6:30 a.m. and lasting until food runs out.
For those who want to join in the drive, HORSES ONLY and NEGATIVE COGGINS required (no motorized vehicles or wagons), registration starts at 7 a.m. (Riders see more info below).
We’ll be “headin’ em up and movin’ em out” at 8 a.m. but that doesn’t mean the fun is over for folks that aren’t riding in the cattle drive, BECAUSE…About 12-12:30 p.m. we should be drivin’ them doggies toward the PCSP Rodeo Grounds South Entrance, 2000 Greenwood Rd., Weatherford, all the way into the cattle pens. This will be a fantastic opportunity for photos and more fun because…Once the cattle are settled, riders are heading to lunch AND YOU are welcome to join us! There will be sliced brisket barbeque lunch with cobler and ice cream courtesy of the Parker County Livestock Improvement Association. Cost for non-participants (folks that didn’t drive them doggies) is only $10.
Then, with a belly full of good grub, you are ready to move on out to enjoy the rest of the 72nd Annual Frontier Days Rodeo & Livestock Show Week Kick-Off Celebration like:
Vendor booths and downtown merchants (open at 1:00 p.m.) on the Weatherford Courthouse square, along with fun activities for the kiddos! pony rides, bounce houses, train rides, provided by Peacock’s Feed & Supply, and more……for a reference address in Maps use 102 Houston Ave., Weatherford, TX 76086.
