Weatherford ISD reopened schools on Thursday with most of the district’s enrolled students choosing to return to campuses in person. About 80 percent of the district’s eighth thousand one hundred students had chosen to return to school for face-to-face instruction, and the other 20 percent chose virtual learning. The district requires all 4th grade and above students to wear masks in school and on school buses. Also, The district is encouraging families to provide their own transportation this year but said their fleet of 55 buses will run as scheduled.
