A story that main stream media has mostly ignored. 5-year-old Cannon Hinnant of Wilson , North Carolina was riding his bike Sunday afternoon August 9th in his front yard when a neighbor of his father’s, 25-year-old Darius Sessoms, ran over to the boy and put a gun to his head. He pulled the trigger and executed the young boy in front of his 2 sisters age 8 and 7
Sessoms and the boy’s father were next-door neighbors, and have apparently been so for some time.
A neighbor was looking through her window and saw the kids playing, and then saw Sessoms run up to Cannon. She saw him shoot the little boy in the head and then run back to his home. “My first reaction was he’s playing with the kids,” the neighbor told local reporters. “For a second, I thought, ‘That couldn’t happen.’ People don’t just run across the street and kill kids.”
The young boy was set to start Kindergarten on Monday and had just learned to write his name.
Sessoms was previously convicted of felony larceny of firearms in Wilson County ..and should not have had a gun. Many people on social media believe main stream media news outlets have ignored this story because Sessoms is Black and the 5 year old boy is white and it doesn’t fit the main stream news narrative. Many have been commenting and believe If this was reversed, than national mainstream media would be all over this news story.
Social media is bringing out the story… with the hashtag #sayhisname. … A Go Fund Me account has been set up for the family of Cannon.
