A parade to honor the 2020 senior class of Glen Rose High School will take place Wednesday May 6th beginning at the High School and ending on the square in Glen Rose. Parents of the seniors have organized this parade to replace the annual “Senior Walk” that was canceled this year. Organizers are asking the community to line the parade route and celebrate the Class of 2020 as they pass by wearing their cap and gowns. The parade will start at 6 pm and will go from the high school parking lot down Allen drive (in front of the Intermediate), turn left onto Barnard, and proceed through the square. We are going to follow the social distancing guidelines for both seniors and spectators. Everyone must stay 6 feet away from anyone that does not live in their household.
Lining the sides of the roads with spectator vehicles and staying in or around your vehicle but again 6 feet away from anyone not in their household helps keep safe social distancing in place.
K-HITS 95.5 will broadcast the parade as the seniors are announced making their way through downtown.
