Granbury ISD will be offering a COVID-19 Rapid Testing Program for students and staff when the second semester begins in January 2021. This program will use nasal swab tests that provide results in 15 minutes. These tests have been shown to have a high accuracy rate. Testing participation is optional for both GISD students and employees. Parents or guardians must submit a signed permission form allowing school nurses to administer the test to students. Nurses will call parents if their student is experiencing symptoms and before administering a test and then call again to share test results. Test results will also be sent through text and email.
