High School Spirit Showdown – Official Rules

School Selection:

Participating schools will be selected solely at the discretion of the Stations.

The Stations will contact each selected school in advance to confirm participation and provide contest details.

Schools must agree to participate to be eligible for prizes. If a school declines or cannot participate, the Stations reserve the right to select an alternate school.

Voting Eligibility:

The High School Spirit Showdown (“Contest”) is open to legal residents of Texas who are at least 13 years of age.

How to Vote:

To vote, participants must text the designated keyword to 817-877-1959 or 817-877-1921 during the specified voting period.

Limit one (1) vote per phone number per matchup. Multiple votes will not increase chances of winning.

How to Vote (Final Round):

To vote, participants must visit NTXVarsitysports.com and vote in the Spirit Showdown Poll during the specified voting period.

Limit one (1) vote per day.

Prizes:

For each valid vote, participants will receive an automatic text bounce-back containing a link to a $10 off $100 Kroger coupon. Dates, restrictions, and exclusions apply. See coupon for full details.

Each participating school has the opportunity to earn a $500 cash donation from Kroger. To qualify, the selected school must send a small group of students and/or staff to their closest Kroger location for an appearance and photo opportunity, as coordinated by the Stations. Failure to participate in the Kroger appearance and photo opportunity will result in forfeiture of the $500 donation, and the prize will not be awarded to that school.

The school with the most valid text votes each week will advance to the Final Round.

The Final Round will take place the week of November 10th. Text voting will reopen to include all finalist schools.

The school receiving the highest number of valid text votes during the Final Round will be awarded a $3,000 cash donation from Kroger.

Cash donations will be awarded to the schools, not to individual participants. No substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent is permitted.
