Jill Lawson To Become New Food Service Director For Glen Rose ISD

Glen Rose ISD is excited to announce that Jill Lawson will become the Food Service Director for Glen Rose ISD beginning July 1, 2019. Current director, Dawn Foos, announced her intended retirement effective June 30, 2019. Glen Rose ISD is very appreciative of Mrs. Foos’ service to the District and excited about the hiring of Jill Lawson.

Mrs. Lawson graduated from Tarleton State University and has taught Culinary Arts/Family and Consumer Sciences at Glen Rose High School for the past 8 years. Prior to working in Glen Rose ISD, she was a manager for Texas Roadhouse Corporation, Family and Consumer Science County Extension Agent and taught in Cleburne ISD.

Jill has been very active in the Glen Rose community for the past 8 years, catering numerous civic and community events along with her Culinary Arts students. She has served as Hospitality Educators Association of Texas President, HEAT Conference Planner and was selected to attend the Culinary Institute of America by the National Restaurants Association.

Mrs Lawson will continue to teach two periods of Culinary Arts at Glen Rose HS while serving as Director of Food Service.
