A Parker County deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 13000 block of Mineral Wells Highway in reference to a person with a weapon. according to the arrest report. Nathaniel Dane Phillips, age 23, of Mineral Wells, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and deadly conduct, and discharging a firearm. When Deputies arrived, Mineral Wells PD had Phillips detained. Witnesses say that Phillips pulled out a handgun after an argument over trash being piled up in Phillips’ yard and aiming at one of the witnesses before shooting the ground next to them. Phillips is currently held in the Parker County Jail.
