Hurricane Hannah made landfall as a category 1 hurricane with winds of 90mph near Port Mansfield Saturday afternoon. With landfall occurring at nearly the same time as high tide a storm surge of 6 feet was reported in some areas. Gov. Abbott issued a disaster declaration for 32 counties. President Trump declared a federal emergency Sunday. 7 inches of rain was reported within 12 hours near Port Mansfield.
