The Wildland Fire Preparedness Level Raised to Level 2

Texas A&M Forest Service raised the Wildland Fire Preparedness Level to Level 2 due to an increase in current and expected wildfire activity across the state.
Over the past seven days, 38 wildfires have burned 2,977 acres across the state.
They continue to monitor the situation and stand ready to respond to any requests for assistance.
