Granbury Dance And Drill Team Win Sweepstakes

The Stowaways dance and drill team from Granbury High School won Sweepstakes at the DFW Dance championship on February 23, 2019, at Duncanville High School. Sweepstakes honors went to both the overall team and the officers at the American Dance/Drill Team competition. Officers and the team won awards for precision, presentation, dance technique, and choreography at the American Dance/Drill Team competition.

The Stowaways earned Judges’ Awards for jazz, pom, and hip hop routines.  Other awards were Best Overall Silver in Precision and Choreography for the officers and Best Overall Bronze in Precision for the team.  The girls were also runners up for Best in Class for both the team and officers.

The Granbury group was the runner-up for Academic Champion honors.  The team also received the Gussie Nell Davis Award of Excellence, which is presented to teams and officers receiving a 90 or above from each judge in each of their routines.
