IT’s Rattlesnake Round-Up Time In Walnut Springs!

If you’ve never had a chance to be up close to a rattlesnake on purpose, then this is the weekend for you! Walnut Springs, Texas will hold their annual Rattlesnake Roundup! People come from all over to enjoy a weekend of arts, crafts, specialty and gourmet food vendors. There will be a sanctioned BBQ cook off and Chili cook off. Enjoy all kinds of music including an “open mic” on Saturday, and the famous “Snake Dance” featuring Gary Anderson and the Moonlighters on Saturday from 8pm-midnight.

Of course the main attraction are all the snakes! Snake hunters have been rounding up snakes for cash prizes, and the Good “O Boys snake exhibitionists have shows through out the day that you won’t want to miss. Plus this year , there’s an all new carnival, which will be set up on the streets of Walnut Springs, with many new rides this year. Friday evening will be wristband night from 6 to 9 pm. Ride unlimited for 3 hours with the purchase of a $20 wristband.

The Walnut Springs Rattlesnake Round-Up runs from March 1 – March 3rd in downtown Walnut Springs, Texas, and is presented by the W.S.B.Y.A. All proceeds benefit the Walnut Springs Youth In Agriculture.
